PT Sans Pro is a comprehensive type family intended for a wide range of applications. It consists of 32 styles: 6 weights (from light to black) with corresponding italics of normal proportions; 6 narrow styles; 6 condensed styles; 6 extra condensed styles and 2 caption styles (regular and bold). The design combines traditional conservative appearance with modern trends of humanistic sans serif and possess enhanced legibility especially in caption styles. These features, besides conventional use in business applications and printed materials, make the fonts usable for direction and guide signs, schemes, screens of information kiosks, and other objects of urban visual communications. The design of P22 Foxtrot is inspired by the lively ballroom dance of the same name. AdieuTwo is a radical revision of Adieu which was a revision of my original font, Chivalry, that was traced from Chevalier back in the mid-1990s. I was working about 10 years exclusively for a type company. Based on my experiences, I built this superfamily. Schuss™ Sans PCG is a humanistic sans-serif with a little contrast. Small Caps, greek and cyrillic are included. Also tab, prop, lining, old style and small cap figures. It's a typeface with clear and open characters. All complicated shapes are cleaned and simplified with a bit elegance. Schuss™ Slab Pro is a slab serif, based on the Schuss™ Sans. Peanut is a face full of bounce and playfulness but is based on the traditions of the long revered Roman minuscule. I have completely redesigned all the diacritics (which were way too flimsy for this robust design) before expanding the character set in the usual fashion. The Charles Bluemlein Script Collection is an intriguing reminder of the heady days of hand lettering and calligraphy in the United States. From the early 1930s through World War II, there were about 200 professional hand letterers working in New York City alone. This occupation saw its demise with the advent of photo lettering, and after digital typography, became virtually extinct. The odd way in which the Bluemlein scripts were assembled and created - by collecting different signatures and then building complete alphabets from them - is a fascinating calligraphic adventure. Because the set of constructed designs looked nothing like the original signatures, fictitious names were assigned to the new script typefaces. The typeface styles were then showcased in Higgins Ink catalogs. Alejandro Paul and Sudtipos bring the Bluemlein scripts back to life in a set of expanded digital versions, reflecting the demands of today’s designer. Extreme care has been taken to render the original scripts authentically, keeping the fictitious names originally assigned to them by Bluemlein.

Girando is the traditional book typeface with distinctive personality and a contemporary twist! Inspired by the everlasting ideas of Claude Garamond, it impresses with many fine details and an elegant shape – viable not only in small sizes. The family includes 2 harmonic weights, true italics, small caps, old style and lining figures and pretty as well as useful ligatures.

The script version of the typeface Viabella introduces us to the calligraphic side of the Berlin type designer and typographer Karl-Heinz Lange. The sketches for this script typeface, which resulted from the close cooperation with Veronika Elsner and Günther Flake, found their roots in sketch drawings which Karl-Heinz Lange had already drawn in the 1980’s. For the Viabella design, Karl-Heinz Lange drew the basic letterforms of the Black and Regular cuts with a brush. He then re-worked the drawings and transferred them on to tracing paper. The design studio Elsner+Flake in Hamburg cut these typeface extensions and later digitized them manually with the help of the IKARUS Sustem. With the Regular cut as a basis, Elsner+Flake extended the family with the Light version and interpolated and re-worked the Medium weight. The completion of the family was taken over by the type designer Björn Gogalla who had done the same kind of work on Rotola, a design which Karl-Heinz Lange had also created for Elsner+Flake. While Viabella was originally conceived as a headline typeface, its lighter weights can certainly be used for shorter text applications. The Black version creates powerful headlines with highly effective accents. With the help of swashes, which are available for all weights, the user can lighten up longer texts and add special character to titles. In contrast to pure headline fonts, Viabella has been enriched by an extensive complement of special characters. In addition to the Europa-Plus character set which allows setting type in over 70 latin-based languages, the user will find multiple versions of numerals as well as oldstyle figures, tabular and proportional lining figures, diagonal fractions, and a complete set of superior and inferior figures and fractions (60%). JY Décennie has been designed for both the web and print. Essentially applying the principles of newspaper typefaces, attention has been paid to the Windows versions of the family to ensure clarity when used in web browsers. It was originally conceived with an Australian broadsheet newspaper in mind, and ultimately launched to commemorate JY&A’s 10th anniversary.
