Streetscript Redux is an update to the now discontinued Streetscript. In the original version, it seems a lot of users didn't like the s’s in the font, and after seeing them redrawn (not always with the best results!) a few times, I decided to make a new version of the font with less idiosyncratic s’s, and this is the result, Streetscript Redux. (I should have listened to my other half - “those s’s look like fives,” she said) All other features of the original Streetscript are intact (barring a couple of s-ligatures no longer necessary). There’s been a little tweaking of some outlines, and slight changes with spacing too, but for the most part, all I've done is redraw those pesky five-like s’s, so that you don't have to.

I searched all over the internet looking for a realistic sand writing font and came away empty handed. Undaunted by this, I grabbed my business partner, Mary and trekked down to our local river, the Arkansas (pronounced ar-KAN-sas around here). Using sticks, we scratched out the entire alphabet in the sand, including upper & lowercase, and punctuation marks! I photographed the characters, converted them to line art on my computer and used font creating software to turn it into a true type font! This font was designed for adding dates, places and messages to your beach photos that looked as if you wrote it in the sand before you took the picture! It is a decorative font best used in large, headline sizes. To make it appear more realistic, select a darker color from the sand in the photo to use for the type instead of black!

Just like the M.C. Escher impossible figures and optical illusions, "Denedo" is a font that is impossible to construct in three dimensions because it only exists as a drawing. This font is based on the "0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9" characters of one of the alphabets published by Nedo Mion Ferrario in the "Letromaquia" exhibition that was shown in Caracas, Venezuela in the 70's. The reason why I chose to restore and complete this font is that unique and exceptional personality that each word acquires when it is written with this alphabet. Denedo is a typographic family in three styles: Denedo 1A, 1B and 1C. When mixing them in big sizes you will emphasize the balance and incongruity of its shapes, providing originality and a unique identity to every word. Type designers have been integrating the design of sans serifs with serifed forms since the 1920s. Early examples are Edward Johnston's design for the London Underground, and Eric Gill's Gill Sans. These were followed by Jan van Krimpen's Romulus Sans, Frederic Goudy's ITC Goudy Sans, Hermann Zapf's Optima, Hans Meier's Syntax and Adrian Frutiger's Frutiger. Now, ITC Stone Humanist joins this tradition. It is a careful blend of traditional sans serif shapes and classical serifed letterforms. ITC Stone Humanist grew out an experiment with the medium weight of ITC Stone Sans, a design that already showed a relationship to these sans serif-serif hybrids. ITC Stone Sans has proportions based on those of ITC Stone Serif, and its thick-and-thin stroke contrast suggests the bloodline of humanistic sans serif typefaces. But other aspects of ITC Stone Sans are more closely aligned to the gothics and grotesques, a tradition that accounts for the largest portion of sans serif designs. Enter ITC Stone Humanist. During his experiments with the earlier design, Sumner Stone recalls, I was actually quite surprised at how seemingly subtle changes transformed the face," moving the design firmly into the humanist tradition. Santa Fe was created by British designer David Quay in 1983. Distinguishing are its script characters and the lower case e, which has the form of a capital E. The letters of this font emphasize the base line. Rounded corners pair with elegant forms to give Santa Fe a flowing, cheerful look. The figures are reminiscent of American advertisements of the 1960s with their light, carefree images. Like with most script fonts, the letters of Santa Fe should be set close enough together that they touch. An added bonus are the various alternative forms with which Quay provided Santa Fe and the many design possibilities which they offer.

During a ‘type walk’ at the 2007 AtypI conference in Brighton, typographer Phil Baines pointed out what he considered to be a particularly egregious example of over-decorative art nouveau lettering on a war memorial. This made me determined to use it as the basis for a font. Released in Opentype, it now features ligatures, swashes and alternates. It’s not certain if the curved top bars on the E and F are a feature of the original design or due to climbers using them as footholds, but I incorporated them anyway. It has recently been used for invitations and supporting print material for formal charity dinners at the House of Lords.

My daily challenge is how to get my kids out of bed, feed them breakfast, get them to dress, wash and pack their school bags and drop them off at school before the bell rings. The rest of the day, the challenge is to renovate our house, get my work done, pick up the kids from school (plus all of their friends, who want to come and play) and cook dinner. Of course, the word ‘challenge’ was misused by the internet. Not too long ago, there seemed to be and endless stream of crazy challenges that ended up hurting or even killing a few people. Daily Challenge font is none of the above: it is a clean cut, 100% handmade, all caps font. The only challenge here is how to adapt your design so it fits this font perfectly… ;-)

This font was inspired by the title logo of the TV show The Wild Wild West (season two). The font was named after the train in the TV show. Wanderer is a combination of my Classic Tuscan Rodeo Clown font and a Robust Slab Serif font. Wanderer is available as a stand alone font or with the optional fill fonts. In the spirit of the old days, before water sparkled and before typefaces were known as fonts, Chank is proud to introduce Chippewa Falls the font. This font comes with fancy swirly uppercase letters and stout small caps for lowercase, as well as a heart-warming story. Chank rescued this former custom font from an abandoned design proposal. P22 CoDependent is a revival of the Independant typeface from 1930 created by Dutch designer Johannes Nicolaas Coenraad Collette along with Jos Dufour from Belgium. Independant was released in metal by the Belgian division of the Amsterdam Type Foundry in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Belgium from the Netherlands. Despite the name, the two fonts contained in the set, Regular and Shadow, are not codependent upon each other. They can be used alone, but together they can create a dynamic two-color option. There have been other fonts inspired by and revived directly from Independant, but this version adheres the original design with the added consideration of how the shadow version will overlap.

The design of this font was created by a 13-year-old girl. The digitisation is faithful to the original drawings and keeps all of the wonderful special details which make this font absolutely unique.

HS Almohandis is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for book titles and graphic projects where a contemporary, streamlined look is desired. The font is based on the simple lines of modern and simplified Kufi calligraphy, that support Arabic, Persian and Urdu. This font was created in the beginning as regular weight with the font HS Alhandasi in 2007 for use in technical and engineering company. The company tends to follow the geometrical shape with equal dimensions in both vertical and horizontal storks. There is also a tendency to make all characters to be similar to oval shape with the impression that they are all geometrical and clear. I followed that with Bold weight in 2011. The difference between this font and HS Almohandis is that its characters have a sharp baseline.

Font designed from that used by Gutenberg in Mayence to print the 42-line bible in 1456. The original font has too many characters for a true type font. Many of them have - in 2008 - no more utility. This font include "long s", naturally, as typicaly medieval, but also a lot of ligatures and abbreviations as "...us", "...rum" "...s" "...r...". A render sheet, added, help to identify them on keyboard. Uses include web-site titles, posters and flier designs, editing ancient texts or greeting cards as a very decorative font...
