The “Kiez“ is an old school style font designed by Elena Albertoni in 2016. Inspired by shop and bar signage of the sixties and seventies, which can still be found today in the so called “Kiez“ in Hamburg St. Pauli or in one or another “Kiez“ in Berlin, which means neighborhood here. It also has a cinematic touch, again: think of the sixties and seventies or your favorite b-movie.

Drop Cap One is a drop cap or an initial cap font. Even though it has all the letters of the alphabet it is not an alphabet font to be used for headlines or body copy. It has no kerning or punctuation except a period. It does not have accent marks. There are basically 2 alphabets in this font. The lighter letters are lower case and the darker letters are upper case. The light and dark letters are interchangeable. While a fun desktop font the real inspiration for this font was my need for a webfont for initial caps for blogging. It could also make a great scrapbooking font too. Lots of uses for this quirky little font.

Cordially Yourz is a bouncy, witty little font. Sometimes there are no caps, or there are only caps… there is no real baseline… it is a headline font but can be used sparingly as body copy. I wouldn't set a whole book in it but a paragraph could be fun. And fun is what this little font is all about. Cordially Yourz can be seen in the 2012 Typodarium Page-A-Day Calendar on 5-29-2012.

Generisch - a german equivalent of generic - sans serif typeface has gain its own place among designers and earn such popularity due to its "simple" design. Generisch is influenced by early grotesk typefaces from early 1900's when sans was starting to get popular and used as a body type. Some old ligatures such as ch ck and ng are present in generisch (not the ct and st tho), old style numeral for better typesetting experience and more.

Rackem PB started as a digitization of a film typeface known as "Eightball" by LetterGraphics, not to be confused with Eightball that was released by other film type companies of a totally different look. This crazy typestyle had all the flavor it needed to make regular appearances in 70's sticker body modification ads for Chevrolet cars and trucks side panels. Loaded with hooptie appeal, it's something you really need to take for a ride to appreciate its novelty.

A dramatic contrast between thick and thin strokes, “ball” shapes at stroke terminals, and straight hairline serifs are main Evuschka characteristics. In this font, the x-height is specifically accentuated in relation to body height. In spite of its extreme geometrical shape, Evuschka exudes fairytale romance. Belonging to decorative type fonts, it is best suited for headlines, titles, and small amounts of text in large sizes. Evuschka was selected for TDC Certificate of Typographic Excellence 2017.

Here's yet another variation of the classic Futura Black Art Deco stencil form of display lettering. The inspiration for this typeface came from various images of the Blossom Dairy Co. restaurant, originally opened as an ice cream and sandwich shop located on Quarrier Street in Charleston, West Virginia. The restaurant first opened in 1938 as an outgrowth of the Blossom Dairy Co. itself, and existed under various ownerships until it permanently closed on Nov. 11, 2016. Digitally redrawn as Local Eatery JNL, it is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Karolina is a calligraphic serif font. It is inspired by Edward Johnstons (1872–1944) calligraphy and the foundational hand (which was based on the carolingian letters and therefore the name Karolina). BoiTu is a typeface in the BoiTu project designed by Vei Vei. BoiTu has a strong contrast between bold bars and long sharp hook strokes inspired by pheasant feathers on the hat in Hat Boi costume. "Tuong or Hat Boi is a form of Vietnamese classic opera, combining various elements of arts such as stage, music, fine art, literature, dancing, and martial arts. Older Tuong plays are usually about historical events or tales. Allegories, melodramas, soliloquies, modes of expression, forms of performance, repartee singing and recitative conventions, etc., are constantly updated and elevated, and are quintessential elements in the art of Tuong." Boi Tu is a classic design to bring traditional art and culture closer to everyone. Boi Tu is a Vietnamese font that supports multiple languages.

The spurred serif style of Roman lettering has long been a favorite of sign painters and show card writers. Spur Handlettered JNL from Jeff Levine gives this classic design an ultra-casual look, complete with all of the nuances of hand-lettering.

An instructional page from a vintage lettering book displayed online showed the construction of an Art Deco sans design with varying widths and stylized character shapes. This was the basis for Eccentric Sans JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Images of ‘lost’ or forgotten signs from the past are on a number of sites all over the web. One in particular partially revealed a vintage sign for “J. Yormark Shoes" behind a barbershop sign at 15 – 8th Avenue in New York City. The sign remained until 2014. The stencil effect made by the formation of the stained glass letters inspired On Your Mark JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. The font’s name is a play on the shoe vendor’s name… “Yormark”.

This came from a shop near Munich, Germany, and was a very poor proof with no font name on it. Never did identify it. When we cleaned it up, we liked it pretty well. We think it is typical of some early twentieth century art nouveau fonts.

Chop chop! VLNL Cleaver is an important tool in the Vette Letters’ kitchen. It’s a butcher knife of a font. Razor sharp, ultra heavy and with pointy slanted serifs. At first glance it seems straight-lined, but a closer look revails that all straight lines are curved inward slightly, which enhances the sharp image even more. Cleaver was originally designed by DBXL for cutting meat - hell, it even hacks right through bone. It can easily splice a chicken in one slash or seperate ribs, just like that. You can also very well use it to chop up hard vegetables like pumpkin or squash on the chopping block. It gets better, the opposite blunt side can be deployed to crush ingredients like garlic, nuts or spices like black pepper. You could use a grinder, but with Cleaver it’s more fun, isn’t it? VLNL Cleaver is suitable to give a sharp edge to flyers, posters, logos (Heavy metal bands and other) or magazine headlines.

The design for Titulata was based on the need for a titles of extreme weight, dynamics and soft morphology. Strong and clear, it takes graceful form in the line and is legible even in small bodies. The script variable is softer and features some punch-line touches, providing another vision and incorporating traits of manual writing. One important feature is that both styles have the same rendering in text box, reason why signs can be combined without other alteration that the form of the printed word.

This is a new modern calligraphy font in casual and simple style. This font is italic and semibold that is made slowly and thoroughly which aims to convey the character of writing that is elegant, neat, simple, bold and still stylish. We introduce our Variable Font from the high-complex BD Gitalona font family. However, each artist or singer has a segment because almost all of them have characteristics. The Design The basic design of this typeface begins with a transitional serif shape with sharp, shapeless corners. Then in the middle of the invention, there was an opportunity to explore it further from the readability side by adding an optical variable that can adjust the serif thickness when used together between large, medium to paragraph text sizes for editorials. The shift from serif to sans-serif with the contrast initiated by the shift of the serif family form as a different variable also makes this font richer in terms of the features it contains. Parts are expected to add to the user satisfaction with the complexity of this font. Ace Attitude is a friendly, readable font with character and flair. When I started designing this font I wanted something that was readable as well as interesting and appealing. Something that showed character. When I look at this font now I think of an old fashioned aviator. One of those poeple that likes to show off and have fun but can still follow rules. This font is perfect for logo's and branding. But its also very versatile would be great in things like magazines, posters, packaging, billboards, etc. Ace Attitude has an impressive 179 Contextual alternates. These are like ligatures, but oh so much better. These contextual alternates will give any project that personal touch - all without any extra effort. All you have to do is make sure that they are turned on in your program. Unfortunately, these do not yet show up in the sample text. To help with this I have created a demo version of the font so that you can still try it out before you spend the money.
