Fondly Yourz is a less than serious, hand drawn serif font. This headline font has nice thick and thin lines. Pair it with a sans serif font for body copy for a fresh contemporary look. Fondly Yourz can be seen in the 2012 Typodarium Page-A-Day Calendar on 8-13-2012.

I am reading a great book by David Mitchell, called Number 9 Dream. One of the characters is called Buntaro, so I decided to call my new inky font after him. Like the book, Buntaro is quite unusual: it has no real baseline, comes with some strange characters, feels familiar, but surprises you nonetheless. It was made with a broken bamboo satay-skewer, Chinese ink and a lot of patience. Buntaro comes with a wealth of diacritics.

Sharpe is a stylish serif typeface family. The type has been drawn by Måns Grebäck during 2018 and 2019. It is clear, sharp and has brave, lively letter forms but with a conservative backbone. The five font weights balance beautifully in contrast to each other, and each weight has an italic equivalent, totaling in ten styles from Thin to Black. Each style contains ligatures and support for a wide range of languages.

Zoney is a rustic slab serif typeface family. The lettering was hand-painted by Mans Greback between 2019 and 2021. It will give any project a handmade, natural and down-to-earth look. Stem Text is a workhorse typeface, a geometric sans-serif with a semi-closed aperture and a large x-height. The design of Stem Text allows to use it in body text sizes as well as in headlines. BachelorScript is the preliminary design for GraduateScript, released in june 2013. You can clearly see the resemblance between the two, but while Bachelor is frisky and authentic, Graduate is more polished and staged. GraduateOrnaments was originally designed to complement GraduateScript, but it can be used just as well in combination with BachelorScript. BachelorScript has a casual look and feel and comes in two weights: regular and bold. It offers multiple language support, five numeral styles, real fractions and ligatures for double letters. Various glyphs to mark, underline, circle or cross-out words are also included.

Tsanger Yunhei was designed and published by Tsanger. Tsanger Yunhei contains 8 styles and family package options. The designer has made unique treatment on the shape and structure of the pen, based on the Chinese calligraphy style and writing, which makes it easier to identify under the same size of the font and group reading effect better. Tsanger Yunhei is more in line with the aesthetic habits of Chinese characters getting the reading an easy task. This font adopts GB 2312—1980 standard, with a total of 6763 Chinese characters, matching Latin letters, Greek letters, Hiragana, Katakana, Russian Cyrillic letters, etc.

This monospaced version of Galix was commissioned in 2037 by the space exploration company Earth2, as part of a major overhaul of their branding, which had used, since 2021, a generic sans serif (much like every other company). Many specialists in both design and space exploration suggested that this very rebrand started a chain of events that concluded with the invention of time travel in 2041. Contrary to the perceived notion put forward in popular Science Fiction, time travel is only (as of now) possible in the digital realm. It was considered fitting that included among the first files sent back in time should be the Galix Mono typeface, which was remade in OTF format to ensure that it would work with the technology available in 2019. Earth2, for all their insight, did not foresee that the release of the typeface in September of 2019, would lessen the impact of their rebrand. What kind idiots would rebrand a forward looking company with a font that was, by then, almost 18 years old? The subsequent lacklustre response to the redesign didn’t inspire the tidal wave of R&D funding Earth2 had anticipated, and the company went into administration in the summer of 2039, having never invented the time travel which made the release of Galix Mono in 2019 possible. Experts believe that the files sent back in time, although their very sending made it impossible for them to be sent, remained as “time relics” of the future that might have been.

POWERPLAY a monospace lowercase alphabet with a 3D twist. Designed by André Toet in 1976 (during his study at Central School of Art & Design, London, UK) and he redesigned this in 2011. The name Powerplay is based on the Battersea Power Station, London. Bold and simple, but shaky, Count Floyd was named for the horror host spoof from SCTV. It has the look of a spooky grunge font, but is far easier to read, even at relatively small sizes. Please note that this font has a limited character set.

Bely is the first design by French newcomer Roxane Gataud. American type designer Michael Abbink created this serif FontFont between 2009 and 2010. The family has 12 weights, ranging from Regular to Black (including italics) and is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, book text, editorial and publishing, logo, branding and creative industries as well as small text. The Diamonds type family was designed by Hannes von Döhren in 2012. It is an experimental search for geometric new letterforms, which are still easy to read and generate some unexpected attention.
