French Kiss is an expressive brush font that was drawn by hand on paper to ensure that it captured an intimate and personal quality. The texture of the brush has been left in, and can be seen when displayed at large sizes. French Kiss contains 28 alternates and ligatures for enhanced diversity and legibility. Vicentina has been created starting from gothic cursive calligraphy, widely used in Italy during XIV century. The ductus of Vicentina has been derived from the documents redacted by Master Domenico Dominici from Vicenza, while most of the inspiration comes from books preserved in the archives of Orvieto Cathedral (Archivi dell'Opera del Duomo di Orvieto). As a result, Vicentina takes form with an elegant, but fast and simplified ductus respect to gothic graphs, rich in ligatures and with over 400 OpenType glyphs, in perfect harmony with the rules of readability of a modern typeface.

Nobody Home JNL is unusual in nature as it combines two vintage typestyles into one font. Both have been used for home and property identification for decades and still remain popular. Over the years the letters and numbers have been made of cast steel, aluminum, brass and plastic. The alphabet is in a distinctly bold, asymmetrical style, while the numbers almost take on a calligraphic feel. There is just a basic character set - alphabet, numerals and simple punctuation. A rounded slab in 4 styles In our age, since the arrival of microcomputing, the majority of professional letters have been composed in quality typefaces. Typewriters & the typestyles they used have become antiques. A letter set in Times or Helvetica & printed with a laser printer at 600 dpi or more are of such quality that one can no longer distinguish it with a document produced by offset printing. But letters composed in this way appear overly institutional when a bit of informality is needed. I have always been fascinated by Tengu - a mythical creature from Japan. Tengu are usually depicted with a red face, a very long nose, white moustaches and a funny hat. They used to be regarded as harbingers of war, but over the centuries, their image softened and they became the protective spirits of mountains and forests. Daitengu means ‘greater tengu’ and stems from the Genpei Jōsuiki - an extended version of the ‘The Tale of the Heike’ - an epic account of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan. So, now you know about tengu, end of the history lesson! Daitengu is an epic brush font. I made it with a soft brush and China ink (like most of my brush fonts), but instead of forming the glyphs I saw in my head, I let the brush do the work. A more ‘zen’ approach to brushwork if you will! The result is a messy, organic brush font with a lot of spirit. Comes with diacritics and double letter ligatures.

The Greek font started from an experiment with designing fonts based on a geometric grid. I joined the points on the grid with straight lines to form the various characters and found that this resulted in a font that closely resembled Greek writing (derived from inscriptions carved in stone) of ancient times. I continued to develop this theme but I now accentuated the look and feel of Greek writing. The three styles shown are the results of this development. I did not kern or letterspace the individual letters since this would have been out of character with the orignal Greek writing. This means that the font is mono-spaced. At a later stage I may produce more refined and "modern" versions of these fonts. Surprisingly, the Greek SCF styles are very readable. The font is fully professional in terms of its character set. It contains over 235 characters - (upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals, symbols and accented characters are present). In fact, it has all the accented characters used in the major European languages.

Odisseia: Monospaced Typeface Made on Earth by Plau. Plau presents Odisseia, a monospace type family in 8 styles designed with simplicity of shapes and a humanist touch. We’ve ventured into monospace territory, where all letters must occupy the same amount of space. This style is usually associated with typewriters and computer terminal fonts. Like all monospaced fonts, every letter align vertically in a multi-line setting. The rhythm created is peculiar, since large letters such as m and w occupy the same space as narrow ones like i. Because we have 4 different weights: light, regular, bold and black the design of some characters have to be adapted to fit the same width and achieve a constant light/dark value throughout. These features make Odisseia suitable for a specific yet considerable range of uses, from computer coding to systemized communication such as brand identities. This style has been used from high-end brand identity to cutting edge digital applications. Odisseia sets a little shorter in comparison with other monospaced fonts, and bears a large x-height.

Brokve is a Croatian word used along the Dalmatian coast. It means “nails", as in the; hammer and nails, variety. It’s tall thin strokes and jutting points give it a very spike-like appearance; suitable for any uses that are intense, jarring or just plain edgy. Ragazza Script isn’t just another display typeface. It honors the greatest handwriting skills but in a different way.
