Stephenson Blake called their release "Recherché"— sought after or in great demand, which seems quite appropriate. Oceanside Sans is a display typeface produced in 2022 by Bepop Font Foundry. This typeface was born out of a month-long trip to the Bahamas. The scenery, both natural and architectural, was stunning, yet restrained. Each settlement featured its own flavor of beautiful hand-painted signs promoting local businesses - fresh fish & Conch, liquor, ice, gifts, and more. Oceanside pays homage to the visual vernacular of the islands we visited during our stay.

Clunic is a Blackletter font in the best traditions of Victorian Gothic revival—that is to say aesthetically marvelous but no historical basis whatsoever. The distinguishing characteristics of this typeface were suggested by cover artwork for the May 1930 issue of Inland Printer: a combination of caps based on Breda Gotisch, released by H. This font is a very new typeface from 2022. It is based on biro pen writings. The name Hanka is the nick of the designer’s daughter. The family has seven weights (straight and oblique), which are OpenType sets with PostScript curves. Features include ligatures (classical and discretionary), number formats (tabular/proportional, lining/old style), fractions, old-style formats, stylistic alternates, and kerning. May you be happy with this set when creating advertisements or artistic content.

The Bing family is an experimental series of type designs inspired by classic movie marquees and contemporary fabricated signage. The Bing family consists of a multiple contour Inline, a single contour monoline Script derived from the Inline interior, and a single contour Black derived from the Inline exterior. Massive text suits my Only Kidding very well. Even at small sizes it is super legible, and it really keeps that handmade image. At larger sizes the crunchiness really comes forward and may surprise you how detailed edges the letters has got! Two handlettered typefaces from J. M. Bergling’s 1914 classic, Art Alphabets and Lettering collided to produce this lively and unusual combination. The caps were originally called "Morocco", and the lowercase are taken from his Keramic Text. The result suggested more of an Egyptian flair, in an offbeat kind of way, and so it got its name. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Tobias Sergel was the greatest Swedish sculptor and draughtsman of the 18th century. The typeface that carries his name has a sculptural quality, with the white line decorating the stems and curves of the letters. "However," says Bo Berndal, the designer of Sergel, "the general shape of the typeface is timeless". The Sergel fontpack includes four fonts: Regular, Italic, Semibold and Semibold Italic, and is an OpenType typeface for both PC and Mac.

The Quickstep Bold, a 'quick' font, originally made for the 25th anniversary of SSP Printing Co. in Amsterdam. First used for an intro spread of a Brian Eno quote in Wired Magazine (#3.05, May 1995): "The problem with computers is that they don't have enough Africa in them. What's pissing me off is that they use so little of my body". For a less outspoken expression, the Quickstep Sans was developed later.

Shinano is an old province of Japan. Kobayashi Issa (1763 - 1828), a famous Japanese Haiku poet and Buddhist priest, was born here. Together with Bashō he is my favourite Haiku poet. Shinano font was hand made using a Japanese brush pen. At first glance it may look like a messy script, but underneath its rough appearance beats a poetic heart. Comes with some alternates and ligatures and a whole lot of diacritics.

Based on William H. Page’s Clarendon Extended wood type from the 1800s, Clarified JNL is digitally available in both regular and oblique versions. In the days of wood and metal type, foundries often made changes to an existing design to make their font more unique and different from their competitors. Clarified JNL is different from Clarenwood JNL (which is partially based on another wood type Clarendon and features many alternate letter forms).

The idea for the typeface Dekalb was born in 2013 after a day of photographing signage, murals and graffiti around Dekalb and Wyckoff avenues in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The initial drafts of the letterforms were first made into a single ultra-weight font that I used while working as the Creative Director for Sneaker News Magazine. After having made its first appearance in Sneaker News, I decided to expanded Dekalb to an eight style family.

Heller Sans JNL is based on the main letterforms of an experimental alphabet designed by Steven Heller; noted author of over 170 books on design and visual culture. Some modifications were made in turning his design into a digital font. In his own words, here is the background to this typeface: “I recently recovered this from the junk heap. It is a yellowing photostat of my first and only typeface design (1969-70). Total folly! At the time I was smitten by Art Moderne lettering. I called it “Klaus Boobala Bold” because I liked the K and B. I’ve lost the letters S through Z, which were made. The letters were drawn with compass, Techno pen (that frequently clogged). as well as a triangle and T-square. The inline and outline made no real logical sense. I based the design, in part, on Kabel, Avant Garde and it was a product of whatever I could accomplish with those tools. The caps-only alphabet was photographed and produced as a film negative that was cut in foot-long strips and spliced to fit on a Typositor reel. Sadly, the negatives made for the font were too brittle and the splice snapped apart in the Typositor. I worked on it for well over a month and used the face only once. I realized with this attempt, like so many other times I attempted different challenges, that type design — indeed mechanical drawing — was not my strong suit.” Heller Sans JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

'Meeeeoooow'! Seventies is another of my 'funkadelic' attempts (1) to fill the existing gap of seventyish looking fonts. In my opinion, that decade has a hidden treasure regarding type that remains unexplored: Only very few fonts rescue its 'groovy' essence, its ‘colourful’ qualities. But, don't have a cow man , and keep on truckin! With Seventies, my new foxy mama , your projects will stand out among the rest. Since there’s not much information available about this kind of lettering I had to get ideas from other styles: Nowadays it’s easy to find all kind of books or guides to understand and practice how different styles of calligraphy and lettering should be done. However, for some reason, 60s and 70s letters seemed to ignore/be free of rules... Was this suggesting the birth of postmodernism? I incorporated some ideas of the copperplate style of calligraphy: The ductus of its forms may be compared to the way letters are made in snell/engrosser’s script. Obviously, this is just the idea behind; the delicacy of thins is replaced here with the graceful imprint of really thick thicks with a brushy look and tons of good vibe . Seventies will work awesome in posters, brands, magazines, book-covers of any kind, due to its modern look adapted to our century. Well, catch you on the flip~side !
