Trilight is a result of my fascination (obsession?) with how the appearance of a typeface can impact on the tactile as well as visual sense to strengthen and guide its imapct. It consists of simple block characters with a triple highlight to give the effect of dimension. The Trilight family consists of both highlighted and solid characters to provide a two color display without the need to convert characters to outline.

A modern geometric typeface evolved from a systematic grid. The consistency of form lends itself to a wide variety of applications and used at large scale creates a powerful impact. Also the characters have compact widths allowing for a great economy of space across layouts. Details include 4 weights, a complete character set, manually edited kerning and Euro symbol.

This font is inspired by the compact, high-impact design aesthetic of the 1990s in Chile, which was defined by the use of very heavy fonts to create eye-catching graphic pieces. Hangtime Rad and Extra were designed with surf posters in mind, a subject close to my heart as an avid sailboarder and surfer. Its slightly raked (3 degrees) yet vertical appearance makes for compact setting with extreme impact. Hangtime exhibits some quirky terminal features, its shortened upstrokes are balanced by the lengthened strokes of others providing unusually consistent spacing. Best applied to display situations but is readable at text sizes.
