Steradian is an exploration of the geometric genre and although it has a geometric base, the widths between letters are not much different across the weights. That is due to the process, in which the proportions of the heavier weights paved the way for the lighter ones. It also has a series of details that make Steradian stand out and gives it a special touch. Some of its main features are the double-story ‘a’, its closed apertures and some of the capitals have a distinct personality (such as the G and Q). The font family "DEADman" is mostly inspired by the weird style of the British illustrator Ralph Steadman. He had a long partnership with the American journalist Hunter S. Thompson, drawing pictures for several of his articles and books e.g. "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." Like Steadman's artwork all the letters are painted with ink. The best ones were selected out of hundreds of variations to get the whole character set complete and look uniform. Kodama are spirits in Japanese folklore that inhabit trees. The term is also used for trees in which a kodama houses. Kodama Forest is a rough, spikey and inky font, in the style of the great Ralph Steadman. Kodama Forest comes with a bunch of alternates, some interesting ligatures and a lot of splatter. And, of course, all the diacritics you can throw a tree spirit at.

I based it on my fonts Ravenheart, Qilin and American Grunge - mostly because I really like them. Amitié is another typeface design by Ralph M. Unger. With its French origin already hinted at in the name, Amitié comes across as friendly and lively. This design reflects Unger’s interest and love in classical, expressive type with the right sense of style. Hanseat is a profonts typeface family by Ralph M. Unger, heavily inspired by Germany’s official DIN 1451 Engschrift. Originally, the German DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung / German Committee for Industrial Standardization) typefaces were taken as the standard traffic fonts for street signs and house numbers. During the 1980s, the DIN fonts became digitally available for sign making systems, initially again primarily for traffic sign purposes. However, later on, the DIN fonts became also popular in the world of designers and art directors. Hanseat is a modern, contemporary interpretation of the DIN fonts, responding to the ever growing demand for such typeface designs reflecting the spirit of the industrial area.
