Sans Serif Deco Font ID
Can anybody ID this font? Whatthefont threw this up:
http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/jnlevine/chive-turkey/regular/ Similar, but as you can see no matching 'S'. I suspect the one I'm looking for was the inspiration for 'Chive Turkey'. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi,
much closer then 'Chive Turkey': Din Fette Weitschrift (bold expanded typeface according DIN 1451), similar fonts in other countries (see old posters eg from Great Britan in WW1) and retros like Turnpike. Have a look at the following free fonts ... DIN Fette Weitschrift: http://www.peter-wiegel.de/DinBreit.html Turnpike: http://www.abstractfonts.com/font/13706 Alternate URL at MyFonts: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/fontdiner/turnpike/ Original URL with download: http://www.fontdiner.com/silver.html *EDIT* This typefaces are old poster style and the opposit of deco style. But they are retro style like old deco style. That's the reason for koeiekats astonishment. *END* Bye bye
Thank you so much Propaganda, and to Koeiekat who has proved most helpful in the past. I clearly know not what I speak of, I just thought that Chive Turkey had a similar vibe to Mostra:
http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/marksimonson/mostra/ Really appreciated! |
