Bunker © Ewen Prigent
Not yet Alex. Have to go out now, comment on this later.
OK, back. What have we here? Ewen Prigent is claiming the copyright on this one. That may be true but there is nothing at all that substanciates that claim. And I dare say absolutely nothing. The fact that Ewen Prigent's name is not shown has an extremely simple reason.
When I look into the font I see this:
Copyright (c) 1988, 1990 Adobe Systems Incorporated. All Rights Reserved.Helvetica is a registered trademark of Linotype AG and/or its subsidiaries.
Font family name: bunker
Font subfamily name: bunker
Unique font identifier: Altsys Metamorphosis:HelveticaNeue Regular
Full font name: bunker
Version: Altsys Metamorphosis:29-08-1996
Postscript name: bunker
Font vendor: Alts
Licensing rights: None
Nowhere there is something that refers to Ewen Prigent
So all in all, imho, this is or a freebee by an unknown author or an Adobe font with irregularities in the naming. Whatever, there is no license information and there are no licensing restrictions. So, there is no need to remove the font.
Somewhat strange for a French speaking designer is to include French accented letters but not fundamental ones in the French language like the Ç and ç.
have you got my permission to present this font on your website ? no. Where are you found this font ? Sorry, i have work on this "free" font and i just want to view my name. It's not diffucult. You can understand this ! I don't understand why the © is "1988, 1990 Adobe Systems Incorporated. All Rights Reserved.Helvetica is a registered trademark of Linotype AG and/or its subsidiaries. " View this :
All Rights Reserved.Helvetica is a registered trademark of Linotype AG and/or its subsidiaries. " apparait.
Ewen, if you are the one who released this font, which is possible, why didn't you put the correct info in the naming section of this font? Then nothing like this had have to happen. But you did not.
Please compare the text in the pict with what I wrote in my earlier post, do you see anything different? For what you don't see in the pict have a look at the settings and then tell me where there is any reference whatsoever to you being the author.
Where it was found? You will have to ask Ivan. I guess he found it at Dafont. But that is only a guess. No info on Dafont that the font can/may not be made available on other sites. Correct?
Had you done the same as with Ibiscus ...
The Kat is right. I found it on dafont.com. You have to learn to update your font information, obviously you used Helvetica as a template - no prob with that. But since our site (so far) is showing font authors only if they have a significant number of typefaces. Also, font authors can be added by request.
That's all. Your font can be easily removed from here, if anything diminishes your ego.
Can be Ivan, sure, can be. But the font is interesting enough to not to.
@ Ewen, two things:
1. to have your name mentioned as the author and copyright holder these data must be in the in the naming section of the font because the database reads this section to show the copyright, designer, etc info.
I suggest you correct the naming data, zip the font and email it to Alex asking him to replace the old one with the new one. I'll send you a PM with his address.
2. When naming a font it makes sense to first check wether that name is not already given to another font. In this case it is. So I suggest you find another name.
